Harbour Furling is my description of rolling the mainsail around its own leech & tying off round the mast. Fine for preparing to go sailing or to clear the cockpit for socialising – but do not leave the boat like it as the sail can break out at the top & flog horribly.

Part of the problem is the difficulty of getting a tight wind of the sail – so Gizmology has been applied to the subject & here is the result; a comfortable, reliable piece of kit that works & is now available commercially.
